Keep Serving. Protect Our Vote.

A local San Antonio veterans group, Support and Defend, is recruiting veterans to volunteer to help with the November election. The August 1st meeting will be a casual get together to learn more. Bexar County has a big shortage of temporary election officials, who are paid an hourly wage during their time of service. Volunteers are needed to help several different organizations to register voters and monitor the polls, among other things. Support and Defend members will brief veterans on the available options and assist veterans in connecting with the organizations who are asking for help. People who RSVP will receive follow up information about the location of the restaurant where the event will take place.
